Leading Me Down the Garden Path

Getting started – greening the path to protect little feet from sharp rock

The path to the potager seems shorter in person.  But I can attest to its length by the volume of plants required to fill the flagstone and the hours spent on my knees, unnaturally bent.

The flagstone was a sunk cost – I already had it – but between the cost of the filler plants and the stone itself I could have laid interlock for almost the same price. Importantly, it would have ensured that access to the back garden was more wheelchair/walker-friendly.

I admit that while I love the process of creation, it feels pretty good to finish up a  job jar task on occasion.  My ‘Type A’ side thanks me.
