I confess I miss seeing any shots of the city in the rain, a formative geographic attribute that offers a seductive earthiness of its own. There is nothing like the fecund smell of the forest after a rain shower, taking shelter from a downpour in a busy coffee shop, watching the mists hang over Lions Gate Bridge, or having the perfect excuse to stay in bed and read all day.
